company

The long tradition of the Elli family is the strength of our company.
But it’s to the future that Feg and Salvarani look. The deep knowledge, technology and know-how that come with years of experience are what pushes us constantly forward in growth and development. We seek to combine Italian style with European functionality, avant-garde design and industrial potential; these are our ideals. Even though we have traveled so far, we have never lost touch with our regional and craftsman heritage; it has become a part of our DNA. We strive to give the same accurate service as a tailor who sews a suit made to measure. Optimism, team spirit, dynamism, competitiveness and the will to overcome any and every challenge – these are the qualities that we prize, and what we want from our partners. We know that in the end people are what transforms the blueprints into reality. A never ending, relentless drive to find the right materials, the perfect designs, the la test technology are what keep us ahead of the curve in the constantly changing world of lifestyles and home furniture.

SALVARANI
Founded in: 1939
Attività: progettazione, produzione e commercializzazione di sistemi di cucina.
Designer: Castiglia Associati

History
Salvarani was born in 1939 as an artisan handicraft laboratory, but it wasn’t until the late Fifties and early Sixties that Salvarani launched the product which was to give its brand an international fame: the modular kitchen. From 1959 onwards, Salvarani's major breakthrough in production came with the inclusion of a kitchen with plastic coverings that could be bent thanks to an exclusive process. It took just a few years for Salvarani to become the absolute leader on the market, especially with the ability to export much of its products. The company definitely established its well-deserved international reputation with the display of the "Long Line" kitchen at the Museum of Modern Art in New York. In the early Seventies Salvarani announced another major breakthrough in the industry with the development of an innovative material that has been since an exclusive patent of the company : the Firon worktop In 1996 Salvarani joined the Feg Group, a consortium of home furnishing companies that have been active on the Italian furniture market for over fifty years..

History
Founded by Egidio and Ambrogio Elli in 1948 as a craftsmen’s workshop, in the 1960s the firm switched to industrial mass-production of furniture, and also started working logs for the production of blanks in order to obtain a complete inhouse productive cycle. In 1990, Feg focused on covering all types of home furnishing, cooperating with famous designers and placing itself in the medium-high market. Some of the most advanced technologies, environmental awareness by using nontoxic substances, the search for quality, functionality and safety, and a keen eye to market trends are the key to the success of Feg, which has trebled its turnover in the last three years and, in 1996 (through its controlled company, la Cucina Italiana srl), acquired the productive and trade branches of Salvarani, Germal and Firon. Salvarani, founded in 1939 and whose trademark has been synonymous with Italian kitchen furniture, is a company of international fame of that revolutionised the market by introducing the laminated plastic sectional kitchen in the 1960s followed by the world-wide patented “Top Firon”. In April 1997, Feg started manufacturing a new range of sofas and armchair. These two firms established Gruppo Feg, a new operating structure whose purpose is to develop a comprehensive furnishing project which meets every requirement. Today, this is the propelling force which opens the way into European and international markets for Gruppo Feg, where it will activate a diversification and sales development schedule (as it has already done in Italy) so that the group companies can respond to all domestic and foreign-market demands while maintaining an unswerving commitment to the corporate philosophy of providing solutions that create intimate and personal living spaces.
